Harbor Estates is a small enclave in San Clemente, California, that offers some of the best views of the Pacific Ocean. Residents love the breathtaking sunsets and views of the city from the hillside.
Harbor Estates is located close to Interstate 5 on the east side, and on the city’s north tip. This community is comprised of 242 single family homes, that were built by Ray Watt between the 1950s and 1970s. There are a variety of floor plans, ranging from 1,624 to 3,684 square feet. They feature three to five bedrooms and two to three baths, as well as two to three car garages. Lots feature tropical landscaping and range between 7,500 to 14,000 square feet. There are also many price points depending on the size of the home.
The Capistrano Unified School District serves Harbor Estates, with highly ranked facilities such as Palisades Elementary School, Shorecliffs Middle School, and San Clemente High School. The high school offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) program, as well as many advanced placement courses. Residents may also choose a private school, such as Our Lady of Fatima Parish School, Our Savior’s Lutheran School, and Talega Preparatory Academy. And there is a virtual public K-12 school that offers more flexible hours for students.
Harbor Estates offers plenty of privacy and real estate here is often a fraction of the price compared to property in Laguna Beach. Residents enjoy the home town feel of San Clemente as well as the proximity to the beaches. This neighborhood is just north of Trader Joe’s and is close to recreation spots like Sunset Park and Acu Canyon Park. There are many stores and restaurants nearby and the Outlets at San Clemente features merchants like Eddie Bauer Outlet, Panera Bread, Tommy Hilfiger, and Starbucks.
The City of San Clemente is known for its affordable housing, as well as its Mediterranean and Spanish style architecture. It’s also famous for its year round swells, and is the home to many surfing tournaments.
